This is Quinn - a self-taught makeup artist and the founder of “Quinn - Makeup Artist & Skincare Enthusiast” based in Phoenix, AZ.

Here’s a little bit about me

I began doing makeup as a hobby for my friends and family at weddings and special occasions. With their continued support and encouragement, I decided to take this hobby of mine more seriously. Doing make-up is actually not my primary job but I especially love doing makeup on weekends after a long week of work - makeup is my therapy!

What is Quinn’s makeup style?

I take pride in my soft and natural bridal makeup style - true beauty comes from within. Bright, clear, and dewy makeup is what I strive to deliver for my clients. My job is to enhance, not transform, what one already possess. Pores and texture are part of our skin. It is a’OK to have them. Makeup cannot clear them all… it is not magic! =)

The best part of my day is the look of satisfaction on the bride’s face when she sees herself in front of the mirror. It brings me so much joy to think that I have contributed something, even just a little, to the most important day of her life.

Why should you chose Quinn for your wedding?

Besides makeup, I have developed a passion for skincare in the past 8 years. My daily skincare routine can be between 15-60 mins depending on my skin needs. Because of this obsession, I have realized and learned that make-up is only half the process toward a beautiful youthful makeup up look. My approach to makeup start with a very hydrated, clean, and clear canvas. Therefore, skin prep is a very important step to my makeup style. Typically, I’d ask my bride to use sheet mask the night before and at least 15 mins of masking on the day of before our start time. Then, I will spend another ~10 mins to work on massaging the face, eyes, and neck areas for the purpose of lifting and depuffing.

What is Quinn’s makeup philosophy?

Radiant and glowy skin is what makes a beautiful overall youthful bridal look. It has always been the combination of “no makeup makeup look” + “it’s your skin but better” makeup philosophy for me.
